No.21 Handayama Nature Park

Handayama Nature Park is home to around 500 somei yoshino, oyamazakura, and other sakura as well as azalea and other flowering trees and shrubs. Handa Pond sits in the park and has earned the nickname Heart Lake for its heart shape, which can be seen from vantage points atop nearby Mt. Handa. The park is situated relatively high above sea level, and for this reason the sakura here bloom later than in lower-lying areas.
