No.14 Mirror Cherry Tree

Kagamizakura (Mirror Cherry Tree) is a large oyamazakura said to be at least 100 years old. The tree has more than a dozen trunks. The branches elegantly drape down to the pond it sits by, and the variety’s deep pink blossoms are reflected off the water in all their ephemeral glory. The sakura reaches full bloom in just three days, and has fittingly been nicknamed the sakura that makes photographers weep.
